At
this guinea-friendly practice (affectionately
known as "Pig City" because of
the number of guineas they treat!), they are used to seeing piggies
that have travelled long distances for treatment.
The nurses are very good at stepping
in and syringe feeding piggies if the don't
start eating immediately after operations.
Jenny
Towers
is very caring and enthusiastic about guinea
pigs. She learned quickly from James when
he was at Tilehurst and can do X-rays, dental
work and lance abscesses without anaesthetic. Jenny is
also at
diagnosing / treating piggies and regularly operates successfully
on guineas. Common operations include castrations, bladder
stones, removal of lumps etc, and her stitching is very
neat. Jenny regularly treats RSPCA Guinea Pigs
as well as Chrissie's own Gorgeous Guineas.
